BSG Annual Meeting

15-18 June 2020 Stand #60

With a long tradition in providing diagnostics for digestive health management, Alpha Laboratories invites BSG visitors to stand No. 60 to discuss the innovative products that are now available for this patient-pathway.

The BÜHLMANN IBDoc® is a CE marked assay allowing IBD positive patients to perform quantitative calprotectin tests in the comfort of their own home. Results are communicated to the clinician via smartphone technology enabling a customised, patient centric approach for therapy. Come and discuss how this approach can provide patient privacy, reassurance and involvement in disease management. See how the IBDoc can also be used to help triage valuable clinic space to those most in need.

The BÜHLMANN Quantum Blue® rapid Anti-TNF drug monitoring assays can also enable tailored therapy, resulting in improved patient care and cost effectiveness by allowing timely decision making for dose adjustments before the next infusion.

We would welcome the opportunity to demonstrate these products on the stand, or if you would like to evaluate in your clinic or hospital then come and talk to us.

Past Events

Over recent years we have run a number of popular workshops and seminars discussing faecal calprotectin testing. See below for video recordings of presentations from experts in the field plus Q and A sessions with the audience.

Digestive Diseases Day, 2017

On the 15th November 2017, Alpha Laboratories held a Digestive Diseases Day workshop. This educational day brought together experts in the field to discuss recent advances in clinical diagnostics for gastroenterology, with the afternoon sessions covering calprotectin in primary care and pre-analytical influences on calprotectin. You can watch the videos of the presentations below.

Calprotectin in primary care – Dr James Turvill
Pre-analytical influences on calprotectin – Amanda Appleton

How do your methods of testing compare?

Clinical scientists attending the workshop were surveyed regarding the faecal calprotectin assays performed in their laboratories. These questions related to the topics that were covered by the speakers. Click the link below to see the results.
