EK-CAL Calprotectin ELISA
EK-CAL Calprotectin ELISA

The BÜHLMANN fCAL® ELISA is a microtitre based assay kit for determination of calprotectin in faecal samples. All reagents, standards and controls are provided in one kit and are ready for use. There is no requirement for reconstituting any component, apart from the wash buffer. This minimises any errors and ensures a long shelf life. The ELISA can be performed manually or on a range of automated processors to reduce hands–on time in higher throughput environments.

Two different protocols are available in one kit in order to ensure that the range for IBD and IBS differentiation and therapy monitoring is covered. The ranges are 10-600µg/g or 30-1800µg/g. A consistent cut-off of 80µg/g is used throughout the BÜHLMANN Calprotectin range.

A simple extraction procedure for Calprotectin is available using either the CALEX Cap or Roche extraction devices. Click here to find out more about these extraction devices.

For higher throughput calprotectin testing requirements the market-leading BÜHLMANN fCAL® ELISA provides an excellent laboratory solution.

It can be easily automated on many commercially available ELISA processors. There are CE marked protocols available for the Dynex DS2 and DSx plus the Triturus instrument.

Alpha Laboratories Ltd can support your automation requirements by supplying the Dynex DS2 for capital purchase or on a reagent rental scheme.

The kit contains all reagents, standards and controls provided ready for use. With no requirement for reconstituting components (except wash buffer), errors are minimised and a long shelf life is achieved.
